The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
To spread a culture of prevention and raise awareness of public safety measures, Civil Defence teams carried out a series of awareness and training activities in several areas of Lebanon.
In Aaqoura, teams gave scouts guidance on prevention, public safety and how to act in emergencies. In Zgharta, municipal employees were trained in public safety procedures and how to act in emergencies.
In Choueifat, training was held for employees of Advanced Car SAL and Ghandour, covering the principles of firefighting and evacuation and the use of portable extinguishers, followed by a practical drill on evacuation, firefighting and moving the injured.
In Tahwita – Furn El Chebbak, Civil Defence teams gave members of the Lebanese Scouts Association guidance on the principles of prevention, public safety and how to act in emergencies.
These activities are part of the Civil Defence’s continuing efforts to spread preventive awareness and strengthen a culture of safety and preparedness across society.
