The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
The Director General of Civil Defence, Brigadier General Imad Khreich, received at the General Directorate headquarters the Director General of the Palestinian Civil Defence, Major General Akram Thawabteh, at the head of a delegation, in the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Dr Mohammad Al-Assaad.
They discussed the challenges facing both agencies amid the growing need for their services, as well as ways to strengthen both agencies’ readiness and response to emergencies and approaches to disaster management.
