The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
The Director General of Civil Defence, Brigadier General Imad Khreich, received in his office in Ain El Remmaneh a delegation from the Cedars Phoenix association. They discussed strengthening cooperation and supporting humanitarian and community initiatives.
The delegation briefed Brigadier General Khreich on a recreational and awareness activity for blind people, to be held on Saturday 19 September 2026 on the Dbayeh beach. Brigadier General Khreich affirmed his support for social and humanitarian initiatives that serve the community.
At the end of the visit, the association’s media and public relations director, journalist Nicole Tohme, presented Brigadier General Khreich with a copy of the book “Active Positive Neutrality and Defence Policies”, which she co-authored with Dr Ghassan Hanna.
