The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
The Director General of Civil Defence, Brigadier General Imad Khreich, received in his office the Ambassador of Greece to Lebanon, Despina Koukoulopoulou, accompanied by the Defence Attaché, Colonel Vasilios Siatis, and the Deputy Head of Mission for Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation, Christina Argiropoulou.
The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the Greek side, particularly in training, sharing expertise, and supporting readiness and response to emergencies and disasters.
To support the Civil Defence’s capabilities, the Greek Embassy provided a quantity of fuel to the General Directorate, contributing to its readiness and the continuity of its field missions. Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation.
