The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
The Director General of Civil Defence, Brigadier General Imad Khreich, received at the Directorate headquarters the official in charge of municipal and local affairs, Hajj Bassam Tlais, and the Al-Risala Scouts Association’s commissioner for civil defence affairs, Hajj Ali Abbas, to discuss a number of topics related to Civil Defence work.
He also received the Mayor of Ain Dara, Joseph Badr, and they discussed the recent fire in the town and the role Civil Defence teams played in fighting it and limiting its impact.
To support Civil Defence members, a health cooperation protocol was agreed between the General Directorate of Civil Defence and DMK Clinics, represented by Dr Mahdi Kaadan, in recognition of the humanitarian and national role of the General Directorate.
