The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
The Director General of Civil Defence, Brigadier General Imad Khreich, received in his office the head of the Union of Bint Jbeil Municipalities, Ali Chouaito, and the head of the Municipality of Baraachit, Abbas Farhat. The meeting discussed a number of topics related to the work of the Civil Defence and ways to strengthen cooperation and coordination.
Brigadier General Khreich also received a delegation from Rafik Hariri University, including the university’s president, Dr Said Ladki, vice president Ibrahim Akkawi, and media adviser Janine El Mallah.
The meeting discussed prospects for cooperation between the General Directorate of Civil Defence and the university, and both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in areas of common interest. The delegation also visited the Civil Defence Operations Room to learn about its role and how it works.
