The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
The Director General of Civil Defence, Brigadier General Imad Khreich, visited the Burj El Barajneh regional centre of the Lebanese Civil Defence with a delegation that included the Ambassador of Poland to Lebanon, Dr Aleksandra Bogowska-McCabe; Poland’s Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Professor Wojciech Zajączkowski; the Director of the Development Cooperation Department at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aleksandra Piątkowska; Justyna Borażyńska of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and the Middle East and North Africa projects director of the Polish Center for International Aid (PCPM), Rana Gaby.
The delegation toured the centre’s equipment and workflow, including equipment previously provided as part of cooperation with Poland. Its members affirmed their commitment to continue supporting the Civil Defence and strengthening cooperation, to help develop its capabilities and raise its readiness.
