The Media and Public Relations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence issued the following statement:
Lebanese Civil Defence teams rescued a woman of Ethiopian nationality during a suicide attempt in the Ramlet El Bayda area of Beirut.
After the rescue, and once it was confirmed that she was in good condition, she was handed over to the competent security forces.
